Russia – Ukraine war updates from the war zone in southeast Ukraine as of August 14, 2017 by ATO HQ operational data and Presidential Administration spokesman onATO issues briefing: EMPR highlights.
(1) Russian hybrid forces shelled 25 times upon Ukrainian troops over the last 24 hours, including 9 times on Luhansk direction, 11 times on Donetsk direction and 5 times on Mariupol direction;
(2) Luhansk direction: Russian proxies main attacks reported on Bahmut road and Popasna district and released 16 mines from forbidden mortar launchers there;
(3) Donetsk direction: Avdiivka was the hottest spot on this direction as 9-hours-long shootouts reported between Russian occupiers and Ukrainian forces; to this end, the enemy used forbidden mortar launshers fire several times;
(4) Mariupol direction: Russian forces shelled at the residential areas of Maryinka once again with the use of mortars and grenade launchers fire; tense atmosphere also reported on Chermalyk – Shyrokino front direction; in particular, the enemy used mortar fire in Chermalyk 2 times; Russian occupiers also fulfilled a series of armed provocations with small arms in Vodyane and Shyrokino;
(5) Russian forces losses over the last week are as fillows: 8 killed and 35 wounded;
(6) No lethal casualties reported among Ukrainian servicemen, but 3 servicemen were wounded in actions in the war zone in eastern Ukraine over the last 24 hours.
