Russian forces advanced in Zaporizhzhia and Donetsk regions, reaching Huliaipole and surrounding villages, while Ukraine established a new defensive line to prevent further encirclement.
The occupiers achieved gains in two regions.
This was reported by ZN.ua.
Over the past day, the troops of the aggressor state made advances on four sectors of the front: the Kostiantynivka, Dobropillia, Orikhiv, and Huliaipole directions. Russian small infantry groups advanced in the city of Huliaipole and the settlement of Stepnohirsk in Zaporizhzhia Oblast, analysts from the DeepState information resource reported on their Telegram channel.

In addition, the Russian army also advanced in the villages of Predtechyne and Shakhove in Donetsk Oblast.

Ukraine came close to losing Huliaipole, but the Armed Forces of Ukraine were able to establish a new defensive line. The Russian army aims to cut Huliaipole off from its supply routes and encircle it from two sides. The spokesperson for the Ukrainian assault units, Oleksiy Svynarenko, warned that the threat to Zaporizhzhia remains from the area around this city.
