Yurii Kasyanov criticizes Fire Point over its Flamingo missile claims, arguing that the company’s ambitious promises defied technical realities and fueled misleading publicity.
Yurii Kasyanov reveals:
I will not be the first to publish this video, which is striking in its cynicism. Fire Point’s MILF, with her glossy face, has delivered yet another scandal. The entire internet is buzzing, and even those who previously worked hard to whitewash Fire Point are now either keeping quiet or throwing up their hands in disbelief: “Wait, so you could do that?”
I was probably the first, back in August 2025, to point out the discrepancy between the statements and promises made by Fire Point’s management and the harsh technical realities of the world we live in. Because it is impossible to develop a combat-ready cruise missile “in nine months”; impossible to develop a combat-ready ballistic missile in two years; and impossible to build an “anti-ballistic shield” in a year or a year and a half. Even industrially advanced countries with extensive experience in the aerospace industry take decades to achieve such things…
I was speaking openly about this and even testified to the NABU (National Anti-Corruption Bureau of Ukraine), because I am a specialist, while they are charlatans with glossy faces who are profiteering from the war.
Remember what Terekh was saying a year ago? That “Flamingo is better than Tomahawk in every respect.” The president called it “the best Ukrainian weapon.” Thousands of posts online, hundreds of articles in reputable media outlets by all sorts of “experts” defending Shtilerman’s engineering genius — only for it to finally turn out to be nothing more than a “political statement”: a loud announcement, PR, a whole lot of hot air…
I wouldn’t be surprised if tomorrow they said that the destruction of “Kasyanov’s unit” was also a “political statement” — supposedly to avoid provoking Putin with attacks on the Kremlin and to encourage him to come to the negotiating table.
Those people are completely out of their fu*king minds. That much is certain.

We started developing ballistic missiles before cruise missiles, but it is a certain iterative process that is complicated and not quick. So we decided that while we were working on that, we would make something simpler, something we already understood better and had more experience with. That is how Flamingo came about. And I think it was much more important as a political statement than as some super-duper wonder weapon. We never placed our bets on it being a super-duper wonder weapon. The goal was to show our enemy that we can reach it where it least expects us.”
