Ukraine war updates on March 7, 2016 by ATO HQ operational data and Presidential Administration spokesman on ATO issues briefing: EMPR highlights

(1) The situation intensifies in the war zone in eastern Ukraine; Russian armed forces fired 38 times upon Ukrainian positions over the last day;

(2) Luhansk direction: the situation was calm on this direction over the last day;

(3) Donetsk direction: situation remains tense near Donetsk airport and Avdyivka, where Russian armed forces fired on Ukrainian positions with 200 mines of various sizes and 82-mm and 120-mm mortar launchers and demolished two residential houses; Russian mortar attacks took place in Pisky, Opytne and Luhanske; the enemy also used small arms, heavy machine guns and grenade launchers against Ukrainian forces there; the tense atmosphere was spotted near Troytske; 

(4) Mariupol direction: Russian armed forces violated ceasefire regime and fired upon Ukrainian position with the use of small arms; 5 Russian provocations took place near Maryinka, 1 near Shyrokyno, 1 in Vodyane;

(5) No casualties reported among Ukrainian servicemen in the war zone in eastern Ukraine over the last 24 hours, no WIA as well as no KIA.
