All three stages of the Para Racing World Cup have concluded ahead of the March start of the Paralympic Games. Team Ukraine won a total of 28 medals of all types throughout the season.
The Para Racing World Cup competitions traditionally took place among biathletes in three classes: sitting, standing, and visually impaired. The stages were held in Canmore, Canada; Finsterau, Germany; and Jakuszyce, Poland, according to Suspilne.
Over the course of the World Cup season, 13 skiers reached the podium. Three of them managed to win gold: Serhiy Romanyuk and Hryhoriy Vovchynskyi, who compete in the standing class, and Oleksandr Kazik.
The highest number of medals among Ukrainians during the World Cup season was won by Liudmyla Liashenko — five. In addition, Ukrainian para-athletes managed to take the entire podium in the standing sprint race.
As a result of the World Cup season, one of the Ukrainians, Serafym Drahun, won the overall World Cup ranking among athletes competing in the standing category, earning four medals throughout the season. Liudmyla Liashenko and Taras Rad placed second in the overall rankings, while Pavlo Bal and Dmytro Suiarko finished third.
