Operational Update as of 08:00 AM on Russian invasion of Ukraine
A total of 203 combat engagements were recorded over the past day.
Yesterday, the enemy carried out 81 airstrikes, during which it dropped 270 guided aerial bombs. In addition, the occupiers used 10,498 kamikaze drones and conducted 3,122 attacks on populated areas and the positions of Ukrainian forces.
In Sumy region, enemy artillery fire struck the settlements of Korenok, Ulanove, Bachivsk, Romashkove, Iskryskivshchyna, and Ryzhivka. In addition, the area of Tovstodubove was subjected to an airstrike.
Over the past day, Ukrainian Air Force, missile forces, and artillery units struck three areas where enemy personnel were concentrated, five unmanned aerial vehicle control posts, and two command-and-observation posts.
Northern-Slobozhanskyi and Kursk Direction
08:00 AM: Ukrainian defenders repelled two russian assaults over the past day. At the same time, the aggressor carried out three airstrikes using 12 guided aerial bombs and conducted 77 attacks on the positions of Ukrainian forces and populated areas, including seven attacks using multiple-launch rocket systems.
Southern-Slobozhanskyi Direction
08:00 AM: Ukrainian units repelled eight enemy attacks. The occupiers attempted to advance in the areas of Izbytske, Starytsia, and Vovchansk.
Kupiansk Direction
08:00 AM: the russian occupiers attacked twice in the areas of Kurylivka and Kivsharivka.
Lyman Direction
08:00 AM: the russian occupiers launched seven attacks in the area of Lyman, as well as toward Shyikivka and Novoselivka.
Sloviansk Direction
08:00 AM: the russian enemy conducted four assault actions in the areas of Dibrova and Kryva Luka, as well as toward Rai-Oleksandrivka.
Kramatorsk Direction
08:00 AM: the occupiers attacked three times toward Yurkivka.
Kostyantinivka Direction
08:00 AM: 24 russian attacks were recorded. The occupiers conducted assault operations in the areas of Kostiantynivka, Illinivka, Dovha Balka, Rusyn Yar, and Ivanopillia.
Pokrovsk Direction
08:00 AM: The largest number of assault actions was recorded on this direction. Ukrainian defenders stopped 36 attacks. The enemy was active in the areas of Bilytske, Serhiivka, and Molodetske, and also conducted assaults toward Svitле, Novyi Donbas, Hannivka, Shevchenko, Myrne, Vasylivka, Udachne, Biliakivka, Muravka, Novopavlivka, Hruzke, and Chernihivka.
Oleksandryvskyi Direction
08:00 AM: the russian occupiers carried out four attacks toward Ternove, Oleksandrohrad, and Krasnohirskе.
Huliaipole Direction
08:00 AM: the russian troops attacked three times. The enemy attempted to advance toward Verkhnia Tersa, Biloгiria, and Chervona Krynytsia.
Orikhiv Direction
08:00 AM: Ukrainian defenders stopped one attempt by the enemy to advance toward Pavlivka.
Prydniprovskyi Direction
08:00 AM: the russian enemy did not conduct any assault operations over the past day.
Volyn and Polissia Direction
08:00 AM: there were no signs of the formation of enemy offensive groupings.
Overall, Russian forces suffered 1,450 casualties over the past day.
