Russia – Ukraine war updates from the war zone in southeast Ukraine as of October 3, 2017 by ATO HQ operational data and Presidential Administration spokesman onATO issues briefing: EMPR highlights.
(1) Russian hybrid forces launched 17 attacks in the war zone in eastern Ukraine over the last 24 hours; in particular the enemy fired 3 times on Luhansk direction, 10 times on Donetsk direction and 4 times on Mariupol direction;
(2) Luhansk direction: Russian proxies launched a series of mortar attacks in Krymske and released 5 mines upon Ukrainian troops positions; another ceasefire regime violations by the enemy reported near Stanytsya Luhanska, where Russian occupiers opened fire from grenade launchers and small arms upon Ukrainian positions;
(3) Donetsk direction: Avdiivka and north outskirts of Horlivka (Zaytseve and Mayorsk) remain the hottest spots on this direction with Russian forces shelling duration up to 2 hours; the enemy’s armed provocation reported in the area of Donetsk airport;
(4) Mariupol direction: Russian attacks with the use of grenade launchers and high caliber machine guns took place in Pavlopil, Vodyne and Shyrokino; the enemy launched 2-hours-long attack ewith grenade launchers in Maryinka including residential area, which resulted damages to 2 houses;
(5) No lethal casualties as well as no wounded in action reported among Ukrainian servicemen in the war zone in eastern Ukraine for the last 24 hours.
