The 1503rd day of the Ukraine war or large-scale armed aggression of the Russian Federation against Ukraine has begun. The Defense Forces are repelling attempts by the occupiers to improve their positions and advance deeper into Ukrainian territory, inflicting significant losses on the enemy in manpower and equipment.
Update as of 08:00 AM on Russian invasion of Ukraine
In total, 120 combat engagements were recorded over the past day.
Yesterday, the enemy carried out 72 airstrikes, dropping 242 guided aerial bombs. In addition, they used 8,367 kamikaze drones and conducted 3,404 shellings of populated areas and our troops’ positions, including 52 attacks using multiple launch rocket systems.
The aggressor carried out airstrikes, in particular in the areas of the settlements of Varvarivka, Tsvitkove, Verkhnya Tersa, Huliaipilske, Kopani, Zaliznychne, Novoselivka, Dolynka, Komyshuvakha, and Novoyakovlivka in the Zaporizhzhia region; and Rozlyv and Zorivka in the Kherson region.
Over the past day, the aviation, missile forces, and artillery of the Defense Forces struck eight areas of concentration of enemy personnel and equipment, a UAV control point, and another important target.

Since the beginning of the day, the number of attacks by the aggressor has reached 56.
The aggressor continues shelling border areas. Today, in the Sumy region, the settlements of Iskryskivshchyna, Neskuchne, Bezsalivka, Korenok, Bachivsk, Atynske, Rohizne, Stepanivka, Vovkivka, Malushyne, and Volfyne were affected; Tymonovychi in the Chernihiv region was also struck.

Northern-Slobozhanskyi and Kursk Direction
08:00 AM: the russian forces carried out one airstrike using three guided bombs, conducted 83 shellings of our troops’ positions and populated areas, including two using MLRS. One combat engagement was recorded.
04:00 PM: the enemy carried out two airstrikes using four guided aerial bombs, conducted 44 shellings of populated areas and our troops’ positions, four of which involved multiple launch rocket systems. One combat engagement was recorded.
Southern-Slobozhanskyi Direction
08:00 AM: the russian enemy twice attempted to break through the defensive lines of our defenders in the directions of Starytsia and Vovchansk.
04:00 PM: the russian occupiers attempted twice to improve its tactical position near the settlements of Starytsia and Kolodiazne.
Kupiansk Direction
08:00 AM: the russian occupiers launched seven attacks toward Novoosynove, Novoplatonivka, Petropavlivka, and Kurylivka.
04:00 PM: the russian forces conducted four assault operations in the areas of Pishchane and Novoosynove.
Lyman Direction
08:00 AM: the russian forces attacked twice, attempting to penetrate our defenses in the directions of Kopanky and Lyman.
04:00 PM: Ukrainian forces repelled one attempt by the invaders to advance toward the settlement of Lyman.
Sloviansk Direction
08:00 AM: Ukrainian defenders stopped four attempts by the russian occupiers to advance in the areas of Yampol, Zakytne, and Riznykivka.
04:00 PM: the russian occupiers attempted twice to advance toward our positions in the directions of Yampol and Rai-Oleksandrivka.
Kramatorsk Direction
08:00 AM: the Russians attacked twice in the area of Orikhovo-Vasylivka.
04:00 PM: the russian occupiers attacked twice in the areas of Pryvillia and Markove. One attack is ongoing.
Kostyantinivka Direction
08:00 AM: the russian troops carried out 19 attacks near Kostiantynivka, Ivanopillia, Kleban-Byk, Pleshchiivka, Illinivka, Stepanivka, Novopavlivka, and Sofiivka.
04:00 PM: the russian invaders carried out 14 attacks near the settlements of Kostiantynivka, Pleshchiivka, Kleban-Byk, Stepanivka, Illinivka, Rusyn Yar, and Sofiivka. Two assault actions are ongoing.
Pokrovsk Direction
08:00 AM: Ukrainian defenders stopped 25 assault actions by the aggressor in the areas of Bilytske, Rodynske, Hryshyne, Pokrovsk, Rivne, Udachne, Muravka, Novopavlivka, and Filiia.
04:00 PM: since the beginning of the day, the russian occupiers have attempted 15 times to push our forces from their positions near the settlements of Bilytske, Rodynske, Myrnohrad, Pokrovsk, Kotlyne, Udachne, and Novomykolaivka. One enemy assault is ongoing.
Oleksandrivka Direction
08:00 AM: the Russians attacked eight times in the areas of Sichneve, Krasnohirsk, and in the directions of Sosnivka, Stepove, Verbove, and Kalynivske.
04:00 PM: the russian enemy attacked eight times toward Ivanivka, Myrne, Lisne, Kalynivske, Pryvillia, Verbove, and Zlahoda. Four enemy assaults are ongoing. The occupiers also carried out airstrikes near the settlements of Orly and Novoselivka.
Huliaipole Direction
08:00 AM: 12 russian attacks took place toward Zaliznychne, Olenokostiantynivka, Huliaipilske, Sviatopetrivka, Varvarivka, and Zelenе.
04:00 PM: three attacks occurred toward our defenders’ positions near Pryluky and Zaliznychne. Verkhnia Tersa and Huliaipilske were subjected to airstrikes. One enemy attack is ongoing.
Orikhiv Direction
08:00 AM: the russian occupiers did not conduct offensive operations.
04:00 PM: the russian enemy carried out one assault near the settlement of Shcherbaky and conducted airstrikes near Zhovtenke, Hryhorivka, and Veselianka. No further assault actions were conducted.
Prydniprovskyi Direction
08:00 AM: the russian troops carried out three unsuccessful assault attempts toward the Antonivskyi Bridge and near Bilogrudyi Island.
04:00 PM: the russian forces carried out three assault attempts toward Bilogrudyi Island and the Antonivskyi Bridge. Two combat engagements are ongoing.
Volyn and Polissia Directions
08:00 AM and 04:00 PM: no signs of the formation of enemy offensive groupings were detected.
Ukrainian defenders continue the systematic destruction of the enemy and are providing effective resistance along all sections of the front.
In total, Russian invaders’ losses amounted to 940 personnel. The enemy also lost two tanks, 10 armored combat vehicles, 58 artillery systems, 1,953 unmanned aerial vehicles, and 259 units of automotive equipment.
