Russians attempt to break through the border in Sumy region but are being eliminated by Ukraine’s Defense Forces.

“Trying to push Ukraine’s Defense Forces out of the Kursk region, the Russians are conducting dozens of assault operations against the positions of Ukrainian soldiers. They aim to encircle our forces in the Kursk region or cut off logistical routes.

Currently, we are observing attempts by small enemy assault groups of 2-3 soldiers, sometimes up to 5, to cross the border, penetrate deeper into our territory, consolidate, and expand the combat zone. However, they are not succeeding: just in the past day, around 20 Russian servicemen were eliminated,” said Andriy Demchenko, spokesperson for the State Border Guard Service of Ukraine.
