Russians Strike Apartment Building in Kharkiv: Child Killed, 31 Injured

Russian missiles struck a residential building in Kharkiv, killing a child and injuring 31. Rescue operations continue amid significant damage to apartments and nearby structures.

“Preliminarily, two missiles. They hit residential buildings. One of the buildings is heavily damaged. A rescue operation is currently underway, with all necessary services involved. The exact number of casualties is still unknown,” he wrote.

Terekhov reported that 30 people are known to be injured. Kharkiv Regional Military Administration head Oleg Synegubov stated that 19 people sought medical help after the strike.

The Kharkiv Regional Prosecutor’s Office said that, preliminarily, the attack was carried out with two Iskander-type missiles. Several residential buildings, shops, cafes, and a supermarket were damaged. They also published a video from the site of the strike.

At 18:38, the State Emergency Service reported that, according to preliminary data, 31 people were injured, including one child (an infant). In total, 12 people have been rescued.

A commercial-office building and part of the adjacent entrance of a four-story apartment building were destroyed.

Later, the mayor of the city, Ihor Terekhov, added that the body of a child was found under the rubble.
