On the night of October 22, Russian occupiers carried out an airstrike on a residential area in Sumy.
As reported by Censor.NET, this was announced by the Sumy Regional Military Administration.
It is noted that the enemy used Shahed strike drones.
“The consequences of the enemy’s attack are being clarified. Unfortunately, there are preliminary reports of civilian casualties. Emergency rescue services are at work,” the statement reads.
Later, Acting Mayor of Sumy Andriy Kobzar reported that three people, including one child, were killed as a result of the nighttime strike on residential houses in the private sector of the regional center.

According to Suspilne, explosions were heard again in Sumy around 6:30 a.m.
Kobzar stated that the enemy continues to shell Sumy.
“In the morning of October 22, the enemy struck a residential apartment building and critical infrastructure. The consequences of the morning attack are being clarified,” the report says.
