On the occasion of Donald Trump’s inauguration as the 47th President of the United States, Elon Musk greeted Americans with the fascist salute “Sieg Heil!”
For seven hours, I watched Donald Trump’s inauguration and stayed tuned for the most intriguing part – Elon Musk’s speech before Trump’s fans. Musk’s address was very brief but striking. It felt like I was struck by an electric shock when I saw Elon Musk give a classic, Nazi-style salute.
And please don’t try to bring up the Bellamy Salute used among scouts. There was one important detail: the palm of the right hand was turned upward and pointed to the flag. However, even so, Congress decided that the Bellamy Salute resembled the Nazi greeting and banned it, just like the Columbus Cross.
And here’s what saddens me most in this story: why did the U.S. Congress declare the Azov Regiment a “neo-Nazi armed group”? Only because of the “Wolfsangel” symbol, which in our country is interpreted as the “National Idea”?
