Operational Update as of 08:00 AM on Russian invasion of Ukraine
The 1,641st day of Russia’s full-scale armed aggression against Ukraine has begun.
A total of 202 combat engagements were recorded over the past day.
Yesterday, the enemy carried out 96 airstrikes, dropping 280 guided aerial bombs. In addition, the invaders deployed 10,953 kamikaze drones and conducted 3,136 shelling attacks on settlements and Ukrainian military positions, including 35 using multiple rocket launchers.
Enemy artillery fire hit, among other places, the settlements of Bachivsk, Korenok, Neskuchne, Ryzhivka, Tovstodubove, Ulanove, Volfyne, Hirky, Budky, Kruzok, Kucherivka, Shpyl, Stepanivka, and Rohizne in Sumy region, and Zoria in Chernihiv region. Tovstodubove was also hit by airstrikes.
Over the past day, Ukrainian Defense Forces’ aviation, missile forces, and artillery struck 12 areas where enemy personnel were concentrated, two enemy artillery systems, and two communications assets.
Northern-Slobozhanskyi and Kursk Direction
08:00 AM: four combat engagements were recorded over the past day. At the same time, the aggressor conducted 71 attacks on Ukrainian positions and settlements. The enemy also carried out four airstrikes using 10 guided aerial bombs.
Southern-Slobozhanskyi Direction
08:00 AM: Ukrainian units repelled 19 russian attacks. The invaders attempted to advance toward Izbytske, Radkivka, Kovalivka, Okhrimivka, Karaiychne, Bochkovе, Budarky, and Mytrofanivka.
Kupiansk Direction
08:00 AM: the russian occupiers conducted one offensive operation toward Podoly.
Lyman Direction
08:00 AM: russian occupiers attacked five times toward Lyman, Shyikivka, Cherneshchyna, and near Novoselivka.
Sloviansk Direction
08:00 AM: the russian troops carried out 12 assault operations near Kryva Luka and Pyskunivka, and toward Rai-Oleksandrivka and Mykolaivka.
Kramatorsk Direction
08:00 AM: Russian forces conducted six offensive operations toward Nykyforivka, Yurkivka, Mykolaivka, and Fedorivka Druha.
Kostyantinivka Direction
08:00 AM: 25 attacks were recorded. The invaders conducted assault operations near Kostiantynivka, Ivanopillia, Illinivka, Novoselivka, Dovha Balka, Novomykolaivka, Shakhove, and Sofiivka, and toward Vilne, Pavlivka, Kucheriv Yar, and Mykolaipillia.
Pokrovsk Direction
08:00 AM: The russian occupiers launched 23 attacks. The occupiers attempted to advance near Bilytske, Udachne, Muravka, and Novopidhirne, and toward Hannivka, Novyi Donbas, Svitlye, Shevchenko, Vasylivka, and Serhiivka.
Oleksandryvskyi Direction
08:00 AM: the russian forces launched three attacks near Nove Zaporizhzhia, Maliivka, and Yalta.
Huliaipole Direction
08:00 AM: the russian occupiers attacked Ukrainian positions six times. The enemy attempted to advance toward Tsvitkove, Verkhnia Tersa, and Hirke.
Orikhiv Direction
08:00 AM: Ukrainian defenders stopped three attempts by the enemy to advance near Plavni, Mali Shcherbaky, and Lukianivske.
Prydniprovskyi Direction
08:00 AM: the russian forces conducted no assault operations over the past day.
Volyn and Polissia Direction
08:00 AM: no signs of the enemy forming offensive groupings were detected.
Overall, Russian losses over the past day amounted to 1,240 personnel. Ukrainian forces also destroyed or disabled six tanks, six armored combat vehicles, 64 artillery systems, two multiple rocket launchers, three air-defense systems, 11 ground robotic systems, 1,792 unmanned aerial vehicles, 435 vehicles, and six units of special equipment.
