Poltava Region Suffers Massive Missile and Drone Attack

The Russians carried out a massive attack on Poltava region overnight on October 3 using missiles and drones. Hits and falling debris were recorded in various locations, according to the head of the Poltava administration, Volodymyr Kohut.

“Energy infrastructure facilities were affected. In the Poltava community, debris damaged a private property,” he noted. There were no casualties or fatalities. This was reported by We-Ukraine.

During the response to the attacks, rescuers came under a second strike: a fire truck was damaged, but all 140 emergency workers remained unharmed. Over 140 rescuers and more than 40 units of equipment were involved in the aftermath, reports the State Emergency Service of Ukraine.

“Overall, due to hits and debris, the region’s energy infrastructure, industrial enterprises, and private households were damaged. In several communities, windows were broken, roofs damaged, and power lines disrupted,” the SES added.

As reported, during the night, the Ukrainian Air Forces repeatedly warned Poltava region about drones, high-speed targets, and cruise missiles. The indicated vectors of movement included the settlements of Poltava, Lubny, and Kremenchuk.

It should be noted that, in addition to Poltava, explosions were also reported overnight in Odesa, Dnipropetrovsk, Sumy, and Kharkiv regions. In Dnipro, fires broke out, four private houses were damaged in the Dnipro district, and a five-story building was destroyed in the Shakhtarska community of Synelnykove district.

In total, on the night of October 3, the Russian occupying army launched 416 aerial attack means across various regions of Ukraine, including Sumy, Dnipropetrovsk, Odesa, and Kyiv regions.

As “We-Ukraine” reported earlier, the Russian army shelled more than 30 settlements in Kherson region over the course of a day, including the regional center, Kherson. Critical and residential infrastructure was damaged as a result of the enemy fire.
