Controversial film Russians at War by Russian director Trofimova is set to be shown at the Zurich Film Festival – the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine has responded.
“We urge the organizers of the Zurich Film Festival not to tarnish the festival’s reputation by screening the film Russians at War.
This is a propaganda film that whitewashes war crimes, not a documentary.
The real Russians at war are invaders, war criminals, and rapists. By covering for them, you become their accomplices,” MFA spokesperson Heorhiy Tykhyi stated.
