According to the ambassador, London could train at least 5,000-7,000 students annually.
Valerii Zaluzhny, the former commander-in-chief of the Ukrainian Armed Forces and now Ukraine’s ambassador to the UK, has proposed a new idea for educational cooperation between the countries. In his opinion, London could train new officials for Ukraine, who would have a different approach to their work. Annually, 5,000-7,000 Ukrainians could be involved in such training.
Zaluzhny made this statement during the annual general meeting of the European Business Association. According to him, discussions on this matter are already underway.
“We almost managed to convince the British establishment that the most, let’s say, guaranteed investment they can make, the most secure way to preserve their investments, is our education, the training of our future ministers, prime ministers, governors, and even a future president,” the ambassador said.
He noted that the project has good prospects, as all political forces in the British Parliament support Kyiv. Valerii Zaluzhny assured that Ukraine is not losing its position in cooperation with the United Kingdom.
“Believe me, there is no hint at all that we might lose any position in the UK,” Zaluzhny added.
