As of the evening of August 20, emergency recovery works in Kyiv’s Solomianskyi district were completed following a massive Russian attack that killed 17 people and injured more than 40.
According to NV.ua, the Kyiv City Department of the State Emergency Service of Ukraine reported this.
The Russian strike on the capital killed 16 people and injured 42 others. Rescuers managed to save 12 people. Earlier, 17 fatalities had been reported.


In Kyiv’s Solomianskyi district, specialists dismantled five floor slabs and cleared and removed 62 cubic meters of debris from destroyed building structures.


Work at the site is expected to resume in the morning.





Overnight on August 20 and throughout Thursday, Russia launched a massive attack on Kyiv and the Kyiv region using dozens of ballistic missiles, attack drones and Kalibr cruise missiles. Numerous explosions were heard in Kyiv, 17 people were killed and more than 40 were injured, while fires broke out across the capital and the Kyiv region. In addition to Kyiv, Brovary and Boryspil also came under attack.
